Life in Balance

Originally launched as a Parkinson’s support project, Life in Balance has grown into a transformative fitness and wellbeing programme designed for adults living with life-changing conditions that affect both mental and physical health.

At its heart, the project is about movement, connection, and community—reducing isolation and creating a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and valued.

Each session combines:

  • Physical activity to build strength, mobility, and confidence

  • Social interaction to foster friendships and reduce isolation

  • Brain-training exercises that challenge coordination, balance, memory, and spatial awareness

Our qualified coaches, supported by dedicated volunteers, ensure every session is inclusive, adaptable, and engaging. Unlike generic exercise classes, Life in Balance is designed specifically for people with conditions that limit mobility or make traditional group fitness hard to access. We can even provide one-to-one support within sessions when needed, so everyone can take part at their own pace.

And it’s not just about movement—there’s time to connect too. After each class, participants are invited to stay for a cup of tea or coffee and a friendly chat.

Sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday, 11am–12pm, with optional refreshments and social time until 1pm.

Cost: just £5 per person
